Job Summary As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Stateside, you’ll build fully-fledged enterprise platforms using modern backend and frontend technologies including Java, Spring Boot, React, Node.js, and Kafka. You’ll be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, including the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of new and existing features. You’ll write clean, scalable, and maintainable code across both frontend and backend systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system consistency and deliver exceptional user experiences. Your work will directly impact the stability, scalability, and performance of enterprise-level products and platforms. Responsibilities<ul><li>Design and develop enterprise solutions using Object-Oriented design principles, data structures, algorithms, DBMS/SQL, and Software Engineering best practices</li><li>Build and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, Node.js, and Kafka</li><li>Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architectures</li><li>Work with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and evaluate new features and architecture solutions</li><li>Actively participate in code reviews and testing processes to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices</li><li>Work on enabling Omni Channel capabilities using Microservices, Containers, Azure Cloud, Kafka, and distributed systems</li><li>Partner with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to develop new solutions or enhance existing applications</li><li>Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability</li><li>Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues eﬃciently</li><li>Participate in performance optimization and performance analysis using DevTools and monitoring tools</li><li>Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps initiatives using tools such as GitHub and Jenkins</li><li>Dedicate approximately 3 hours per week to internal Stateside initiatives, including</li><li>strategic planning, collaboration, mentoring, or internal projects</li></ul> Requirements<ul><li>5+ years of hands-on experience planning, designing, developing, and delivering enterprise solutions</li><li>Strong experience with Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot frameworks, JBoss, and related web technologies</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with React, Node.js, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems</li><li>Experience building scalable full-stack applications using frontend and backend architectures</li><li>Experience designing, deploying, and managing RESTful APIs using JSON message structures</li><li>Strong experience designing cloud-based applications using microservices architecture and best practices, preferably on Microsoft Azure</li><li>Hands-on experience with event-driven and streaming solutions such as Kafka, JMS, Coherence, or similar technologies</li><li>Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar</li><li>Experience working with GitHub, Jenkins, and other DevOps-related tools and applications</li><li>Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills</li><li>Experience with frontend performance analysis using DevTools</li><li>Knowledge of containerized environments and distributed systems</li><li>Experience integrating frontend applications with backend APIs and services</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills</li><li>Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments</li></ul> Nice to Have<ul><li>BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience</li><li>Experience working in the retail industry with large-scale enterprise organizations</li><li>Experience with e-commerce, marketing, and self-service applications</li></ul> Stateside is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to a policy of non-discrimination in employment on any basis, including age, sex, color, race, creed, national origin, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, political belief, or disability.
