Sobre a vaga
Location: Remote (Latin America)
Job Type: Full-time, Contract
About Us
AgilityIO is a software development firm that designs and builds custom applications for startups and Fortune 500 companies. We are a global team of over 400 developers, QA engineers, project managers, and UX/UI designers with offices in New York City and Vietnam.
This is a full-time contractor role based in Latin America.
We’re seeking a client-facing Solutions Architect to define resilient architectures, mentor developers, and collaborate across sales and delivery to ensure solutions are technically sound, scalable, and cost-effective. In addition to leading discovery, estimation, and cross-project technical guidance, this role will sometimes involve working directly with clients while contributing hands-on, balancing strategic architectural oversight with hands-on contribution.
You’ll also play a foundational role in shaping how the Solutions Architect position is defined and scaled within AgilityIO as our organization continues to grow.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead solution design and architecture for web, mobile, and cloud systems (greenfield and modernization)
- Conduct technical discovery: stakeholder interviews, requirements and constraints gathering, risk analysis, and effort estimation
- Produce architecture artifacts (e.g., C4/UML diagrams, sequence/data flows, ADRs) and collaborate on SOWs, proposals, and technical roadmaps
- Support the sales team on technical calls, RFPs, scoping, and demos, translating business goals into actionable engineering plans
- Mentor and upskill engineers through design/code reviews, pairing, and architectural coaching
- Contribute hands-on to projects as needed—pushing code, debugging complex issues, and unblocking teams
- Assist complex client projects even when not directly assigned, advising on scalability, performance, integrations, or architecture challenges.
- Define reference architectures, coding standards, and CI/CD/IaC patterns; champion reliability, observability, and cost optimization
- Lead evaluations of new technologies and frameworks; build PoCs/spikes to validate technical assumptions
- Ensure non-functional requirements (availability, latency, compliance, security) are met and measurable
- Document and formalize the Solutions Architect role at AgilityIO — creating guidelines, success metrics, and repeatable frameworks for future architects
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of professional software development and architecture experience, including 2+ years in a lead or client-facing technical role
- Proven experience designing scalable systems on AWS or Azure (serverless, containers/Kubernetes, microservices, event-driven)
- Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js) and modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue); proficiency in one additional language (e.g., C#, Python, or similar)
- Solid DevOps/IaC experience (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation) and familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring, and observability practices
- Comfortable leading discovery, estimating project scope, and collaborating on proposals/SOWs with sales and delivery teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to bridge technical and business perspectives fluently in English
- Hands-on approach—able to prototype, push code, and guide implementation while maintaining architectural oversight
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS or Azure certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional)
- Experience with mission-critical, high-availability, or real-time systems
- Familiarity with cost modeling, compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001), and large-scale integrations
- Prior experience mentoring and leading distributed teams across time zones
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses
- Flexible remote work environment
- Professional growth opportunities and mentorship
- Engaging and collaborative team culture with cutting-edge projects
